NXP secures €1 billion EIB loan to advance semiconductor innovation in Europe
NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NASDAQ: NXPI) today announced that it has secured a €1 billion loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to advance the company’s RDI investments across its broad portfolio of semiconductor solutions. The €1 billion loan facility carries an approximate interest rate of 4.75 percent when drawn in dollar denominated tranches, under the current market conditions and has a duration of six years. The financing will support NXP’s research and development efforts in several EU Member States, implemented in its facilities in Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Romania for the period up to 2026.
Netherlands: EIB backs Resato to enhance hydrogen refuelling technology
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has signed a €25 million venture debt facility with hydrogen refuelling station developer Resato Hydrogen Technology. Based in Assen, in the north of the Netherlands, the company will use the financing to boost the research and development of its proprietary technology and expand its production capacity in the coming years. Resato’s growth plans include deploying 1,000 hydrogen refuelling stations by 2030 and are aligned with the European Union’s Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy, for which expanding production capacity is crucial. This year, Resato plans to relocate to a newly optimized assembly facility, enabling further scaling of production.
Netherlands: Rijnstate and EIB agree European loan for hospital modernisation
At a signature ceremony in Arnhem today, Rijnstate hospital and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have agreed a €90 million loan facility for the modernisation Rijnstate’s main building, which will include a reorganisation of several departments to improve workplace efficiency in-line with medical needs and improve the building’s energy efficiency.
