Most people in Cyprus recognise the need to adapt their lifestyle due to the effects of climate change, according to the annual Climate Survey commissioned by the European Investment Bank (EIB). Among the challenges facing their country, Cypriot respondents ranked climate change third, after the cost of living and large-scale migration. Many believe that investing in adaptation now prevent higher costs in the future.

Nearly nine in ten Greek respondents recognise the need to adapt their lifestyle due to the effects of climate change, according to the annual Climate Survey commissioned by the European Investment Bank (EIB). Among the challenges facing Greece, respondents ranked climate change second only to the cost of living. Many believe that investing in adaptation now will not only boost the economy, but will also prevent higher costs in the future.

Die Europäische Investitionsbank (EIB) berät Griechenland bei der umfassenden Modernisierung des nationalen Schienennetzes. Durch das Projekt soll die Bahn sicherer, pünktlicher und nachhaltiger werden. Im Rahmen des Beratungsvertrags mit dem griechischen Ministerium für Verkehr und Infrastruktur unterstützt die EIB die Ausarbeitung eines langfristigen Geschäftsplans für eine neu gegründete Bahninfrastruktur-Gesellschaft und die Planung kurzfristiger Netzinvestitionen.
