The European Investment Bank Group, consisting of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and its subsidiary, the European Investment Fund (EIF), again recorded a high level of activity in Belgium and beyond. Worldwide, the Group signed close to €89 billion in new financing contracts for high-impact projects in support of EU policy priorities, of which nearly €51 billion for climate and environment financing.

UZ Leuven to benefit from €230 million lending agreement between KU Leuven and the European Investment Bank (EIB), to finance its infrastructure plans up to 2031. The works will cover an overhaul of the main Health Sciences campus Gasthuisberg in Leuven. A well-planned layout of medical departments and supporting services will allow for optimised patient- and workflows.

Die Europäische Investitionsbank (EIB) hat ein Rahmendarlehen von 225 Millionen Euro an Prologis vergeben, den weltweiten Anbieter von Logistikimmobilien. Prologis will mit dem Geld seine Pläne zur Erzeugung von grünem Strom mit Solarmodulen auf Logistikzentren vorantreiben und durch Batteriespeicher die Energiesicherheit erhöhen. Prologis plant diese Projekte an mehreren Standorten in West- und Mitteleuropa.
