We contribute significantly to climate action in Hungary by financing energy-efficient home upgrades and supporting local small businesses with sustainable practices.

Our investments have modernised national and municipal transport networks, enabling safer, faster, and greener commuting and trade. We have also strengthened Hungary’s energy sector, ensuring households and businesses benefit from reliable and efficient electricity transmission and distribution networks.

President Calviño completes tour of 27 EU capitals

Over the past 12 months the president of the European Investment Bank Group, Nadia Calviño has travelled across the European Union, from Stockholm to Nicosia, Vilnius to Valletta, Madrid to Zagreb, listening to the views of finance ministers, prime ministers and presidents, engaging with partners, gaining insights into current projects financed by the European Union and giving shape to the EIB Group’s 8 strategic priorities.

We have worked in Hungary since 1990, upgrading infrastructures and supporting education, health, and innovative companies. We have supported AiMotive in its research and development of autonomous driving solutions, financed the new state-of-the-art building of the Biatorbagy elementary school and helped the health sector during the pandemic.
