Case Description
The complaint at issue concerns the Fund's underlying investment in a pipes and fittings manufacturing company (“the sub-project)" in India.
The complainant claims the sub-project has failed to comply with national labour laws specifically related to wages and hours of work. The complainant describes inadequate working conditions, including compensation below the minimum wage and longer than legal working hours. The complainant also expresses concerns regarding hazardous waste management.
