The Panel, drawn from all over Europe and further afield, meets twice annually and gathers many of the best mainly European economists who discuss the papers that are then reviewed to produce a leading review for policy analysis, Economic Policy. This review is published in association with the EEA (European Economic Association.)

Since 1992, meetings of the Panel have been supported by the European central banks and by some finance ministries. Recently, a permanent tradition of rotating the Panel meetings to coincide with the Presidency of the European Union has been established.

The 41st Meeting will focus on issues such as Fiscal Policy and Interest Rates in Europe, Migration, Coordination Failures and EU Enlargement, the Russian Flat Tax Reform and Pharmaceutical Parallel Trade in Europe.
