Europe is facing significant challenges that are driven by global geopolitical shifts and technological change. To ensure security, stability and competitiveness, Europe needs substantial investment – particularly in modernising industry, adopting sustainable practices and capitalising on the potential of artificial intelligence and the digital economy. Additionally, there is an urgent need to increase public investment in European security and defence.

While investment in the European Union remains resilient, high energy costs and skill shortages pose a threat to future growth. Addressing these challenges requires both private funding and public-private partnerships. The upcoming Forum will focus on Europe’s investment priorities, showcasing best practices and successful strategies. With the expertise of the EIB Group, we will explore how to address investment needs and mobilise the necessary funding to support Europe’s goals, reinforce the single market and prevent economic fragmentation.

For the first time, the Forum will also include a dedicated section on world challenges with the EIB Global Days. In line with the EIB Group’s Strategic Roadmap, the panels will focus on high-impact investments outside the EU, in particular through the leverage of EU mandates and guarantees. The discussions will also highlight our support for EU policies around the world.
