The EIB office in Berlin and the Swedish Embassy in Germany organised a policy debate on “Energy Crisis and Climate Targets: How does Europe's industry remain competitive”.
The aim of the event in Berlin was to put the current discussion on the US government's "Inflation Reduction Act" into a broader context of EU competitiveness. The debate focussed on the question of which short- and long-term strategies, especially with regard to climate and energy, can make Europe fit for the future - in truly difficult times: War in Ukraine, energy crisis, inflation, banking quake, decarbonisation of industry.
The event took place in cooperation with the Swedish Embassy in Germany and was part of the event programme of the Swedish EU Presidency.
