The Experts Committee of the Facility for Euro-Mediterranean Investment and Partnership (FEMIP) will meet on 16 and 17 February in Marseille, France to draw up practical proposals to be submitted to the FEMIP Ministerial Council scheduled for next June.

The meeting will be opened by the Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in charge of FEMIP, Philippe de Fontaine Vive, who will also present the conclusions.

Within a first session on privatisation, participants will look at public sector enterprises, then at services on the basis of the experience gained in several Mediterranean Partners. A second session will be devoted to Access to finance for private enterprises' seen from the dual perspective of financial institutions and private companies themselves. Speakers will be senior representatives of Mediterranean Partners' state bodies, banks, industrial firms, business organisations, and the European Commission.

The closing speech will be delivered by French Secretary of State for European Affairs, Renaud Muselier.
