The EIB participates at the Green Week 2005, an annual event organised by the European Commission's Directorate General for the Environment, in Brussels from 30 May until - 3 June.
This year's central theme is Get to grips with climate change: Changing our behaviour.
Green week 2005 will look at all aspects of climate change and in particular to the human factor. In order to halt global warming changes are necessary in our way of life, production, consumption and transport.
Green Week is aimed at local, regional and national decision-makers, companies- multinationals as well as small and medium-sized enterprises - and associations and non-governmental organisations. It consists of a range of conferences, round tables, etc as well as an exhibition, including a stand from the EIB.
As the EU's long term financing institution, EIB's operations are driven by EU policies and objectives. Accordingly, protecting and improving the environment ranks among the Bank's top priorities. Publications and information about the Bank's environmental activities are available at the EIB stand.
