As part of the public consultation on its Complaints Mechanism, the EIB will organise a meeting on 29 June 2017 in Brussels. This meeting is open to all interested stakeholders and offers the opportunity to exchange directly with EIB staff about the Bank’s Complaints Mechanism policy and the key issues at stake within the review.

Background

The EIB Complaints Mechanism Principles, Terms of Reference and Rules of Procedure provides members of the public who are, or feel, affected by the Bank's decisions, actions or omissions with a comprehensive tool enabling an alternative and pre-emptive resolution of disputes.

The current EIB Complaints Mechanism Policy was approved by the Board of Directors on 2 February 2010 following a public consultation that took place in 2009.  Article 5.3 of the Policy stipulates that the EIB endeavours to periodically review its Complaints Mechanism.

The public consultation process seeks to solicit views and input from a wide array of stakeholders that can bring valuable expertise to the review which is expected to be finalised at the end of 2017.

For more information, see the main website about the public consultation.

Venue and programme

The meeting will take place in the EIB’s Brussels Office (3rd floor), Rond-Point Schuman 6, 1040 Brussels on 29 June 2017.

It will start at 09.30 and will end at 12.30 followed by a networking lunch.

More details about the programme will be communicated to registered participants closer to the date.
