The Economics Department of the EIB organised its second roundtable discussion on Eastern Neighbours and Central Asia (ENCA) Countries focusing on SME financing in the region, held at the Bank’s headquarters in Luxembourg. The event brought together leading experts and market participants at this crucial moment in the history of the region.
The roundtable tackled the challenges and highlighted the opportunities facing private sector finance in the Eastern Neighbourhood and Russia. There were two sessions, one focusing on the geopolitical, economic and financial situation and risks, and the other on the needs of the SME sector, based on country studies funded by the Eastern Partnership Technical Assistance Trust Fund and the EIB.
