Prologis secures €225 million EIB loan to accelerate solar and energy projects across Europe
Prologis, Inc. (NYSE: PLD), the global leader in logistics real estate has secured a €225 million framework loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to advance its plans to produce electricity from low-carbon sources through solar panels on the roofs of its logistic centres, alongside battery storage systems to enhance energy resilience. The rollout will be across several of its locations in Western and Central Europe.
Sweden: Industrial equipment maker SKF to accelerate Europe’s green transition with €430 million loan from EIB
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is lending €430 million to Sweden-based SKF, a global leader in bearings and seals manufacturing, to support research, development and innovation (RDI) central to greening Europe’s economy. The company will use the EIB credit to advance technologies in bearings, seals and lubrication systems over the coming four years at sites in six European countries: Austria, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Sweden.
Most Dutch respondents think their lifestyle won’t be affected by climate change despite its growing impact, EIB survey finds
Unlike the majority of European respondents, most of those in the Netherlands do not believe they will have to adapt their way of life to cope with the effects of a changing climate. However, they do see the economic opportunity adaptation presents: Almost nine out of ten respondents in the Netherlands say that investment in adaptation can create jobs and boost the local economy, according to the annual Climate Survey commissioned by the European Investment Bank (EIB).
