The European Investment Bank Group, the long-term lending institution of the European Union, has announced plans to open new local offices in Riga, Latvia and Tallinn, Estonia. This will strengthen the Group’s ability to support projects and investments on the ground, expanding its commitment to the Latvian and Estonian economies.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) and Luminor Bank AS today signed a €115 million agreement to facilitate additional lending to small to medium-sized companies and mid-caps in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The blending of the EIB loan with Luminor’s resources will pave the way for over €332 million in new financing with more favourable conditions for businesses across the Baltics.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is participating in the World Circular Economy Forum 2023 (WCEF 2023), from 30 May to 2 June in Helsinki, Finland. The annual WCEF, a global initiative of Finland and the Finnish Innovation Fund (Sitra), presents the world’s leading circular economy solutions with business leaders, policymakers and experts participating from around the world. This year’s edition will focus on the ambitious action to accelerate the circular economy transition and to promote circular solutions for nature and the economy.
