The European Investment Bank has confirmed its largest water financing in Jordan to improve water availability, security and sustainability across the country and increase access to water supply, improve sanitation and reduce water losses.
The Board of Directors of the European Investment Bank (EIB) today approved €8.4 billion of new financing to build homes and schools, harness renewable energy, upgrade water, transport and communications networks and bolster business innovation and growth in Europe and around the world.
The Luxembourg-EIB Climate Finance Platform (LCFP) will provide EUR 5 million for impact investor BlueOrchard's innovative USD 100 million climate insurance fund, with the backing of the government of Luxembourg.
