The elevated section of Hanoi Metro Line 3 (8 stations) has been officially inaugurated on 09 November 2024. It will connect Nhon to Cau Giay over approximately 8 km, offering an environmentally friendly mode of transportation and helping to alleviate congestion in the capital of Viet Nam. The construction works of the underground section (4 additional stations connecting to Hanoi Railway Station) have also started last 30 July, and will extend the line to Hanoi Railway Station.
The Water Sector Fund managed by EIB Global will provide €10 million in the Water Access Acceleration Fund (W2AF), managed by Incofin, a prominent global impact investment manager. W2AF is a “water-focused” blended finance impact fund targeting sustainable and scalable solutions that improve access to safe, affordable drinking water for underserved populations, mainly in Sub-Saharan Africa and South and Southeast Asia. The new initiative will provide 20 billion litres of safe drinking water by 2030.
The European Investment Bank (EIB Global) announced the signature of two agreements with Moldova’s largest bank maib at the EU-Moldova Private Sector Investment Conference in Chișinău: a €50 million loan and a risk sharing instrument, backed by the European Union, unlocking an additional €44 million portfolio of loans to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
