Following recent changes in the Bulgarian Government, Mr Vladislav Goranov was appointed Minister of Finance. He also becomes EIB Governor, succeeding Mr Kiril Anaiev. Mr Goranov already served in that capacity from November 2014 to
February 2017.
Before his appointment in the Government, Mr Goranov was, from May 2013 to February 2014, Executive Director and Member of the Management Board of Municipal Bank Plc.
He was also a member of the Bulgarian National Assembly from May 2013 to February 2014.
From August 2009 to April 2013, he served as Deputy Minister of Finance. From 2001 to 2009, he was Head of the Social Expenditures Division of the Ministry of Finance.
From 1998 to 2001, Mr Goranov worked as a Specialist at the Extra-budgetary Accounts and Funds Division and as an Expert and Director of the Financial Policy Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Agrarian Reform.
Mr GORANOV studied economics at D.A. Tsenov Academy of Economics in Svishtov and holds a Master’s degree in accounting and control.
