    Sweden and the EIB

We have worked in Sweden since 1994, providing financing and technical assistance for the circular economy, urban infrastructure and services.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has been a key partner in Sweden’s development, with one of our landmark projects being the Öresund Bridge, enhancing connectivity between Sweden and Denmark and fostering regional growth. We also support innovation in clean transport technologies, backing AB Volvo’s research in electric vehicles.

Our collaboration with Ericsson is driving advancements in next-generation wireless technology, while our investment in Exeger helps scale up solar cell production, promoting energy independence. Additionally, we are financing SJ’s new energy-efficient trains, and supporting a sustainable inland salmon farm, contributing to a greener food system.
