In this episode, follow our colleague Susanna Seymour as she goes to Antananarivo, Madagascar. This region was hit by a severe tropical storm in 2015, causing unprecedented floods and damages that particularly affected a crucial dyke safeguarding the city and its residents.

In response to this crisis, the EIB provided €40 million to help Madagascar's reconstruction efforts. The goal was not only to repair dykes, bridges, and roads but also to fortify them against increasing threats of extreme weather events fueled by climate change.

During her journey, Susanna engages with residents who share their stories and discuss how the dyke's reconstruction has positively transformed their lives. Join us on this impactful journey and learn more about the resilience and renewal of Antananarivo!
