JASPERS, delivered by EIB Advisory, supports investments of over €356 billion since 2005

On 14 November 2024, JASPERS – the Joint Assistance to Support Projects in European Regions – held its annual stakeholders meeting in Brussels. Since its creation in 2005, JASPERS has completed more than 2 300 assignments in 33 beneficiary countries and is a key provider of advisory services by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and European Commission. To date, JASPERS’ work has enabled investments worth over €356 billion in water, sustainable transport, climate action, environmental protection, innovation, healthcare, energy and other important areas.

Most Czech respondents say they will have to adapt their lifestyle due to climate change, EIB survey finds

More than six in ten Czech respondents recognise the need to adapt their lifestyle due to the effects of climate change, according to the annual Climate Survey commissioned by the European Investment Bank (EIB). Among the challenges facing their country, Czech respondents ranked environmental issues – including environmental degradation and climate change – third, after the rising cost of living and political instability. Many believe that investing in adaptation now will prevent higher costs in the future.

Half of Bulgarian respondents consider climate adaptation a national priority, EIB survey shows

Most Bulgarian respondents recognise the need to adapt their lifestyle due to the effects of climate change, according to the annual Climate Survey commissioned by the European Investment Bank (EIB). Among the challenges facing their country, Bulgarian respondents ranked climate change fifth, after political instability, cost of living, unemployment and access to healthcare. Many believe that investing in adaptation now will prevent higher costs in the future.
