Urban areas host more than 50% of the world population and generate ~80% of GDP globally, contributing significantly to resource consumption and GHGs emissions. Circular economy - especially in the form of a circular urban regeneration - can be a key lever to tackle these challenges.
Within this framework, the Joint Initiative on Circular Economy (JICE) held a webinar on 9th June 2021 on challenges and opportunities of shifting cities towards a more circular development model.
This is the second in a series of circular economy webinars offered by the JICE that will address topics relevant to the circular transition in the EU. The next webinar will be held during Autumn 2021.
