Description
The EIB REP Guiding Principles is a high-level document endorsed by the Board of Governors of EIB in March 2021. It contains the general principles, rules and provisions regarding the governance, the organisational setting and the functioning of the EIB Review and Evaluation Process (the approach is based on the Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process under European banking supervision). It forms part of a 3-tier framework and will be complemented by the internal Implementing Rules and a documented methodology. This represents a major step forward in implementing one of the changes agreed as part of the governing package reform which will strengthen the supervisory role of the Audit Committee.
