        Celebrating diversity, equity and inclusion at Luxembourg Pride Week

        From July 6th to 14th, the EIB Group joined the 25th edition of the Luxembourg Pride week to celebrate the LGBTIQ community and the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion.

        Around 200 EIB Group colleagues took part in the second edition of the Luxembourg Pride Run, a charity race bringing together companies, associations, friends, and families to show their support for the LGBTIQ community. Some of the profits generated were donated to LGBTIQ associations for their projects to defend equal rights, including Rosa Lëtzebuerg and the Cigale LGBTIQ+ Center.

        Together with other EU institutions, the Group participated in the Equality March in Esch sur Alzette, with the aim to demand acceptance and legal equality for the LGBTIQ community. It was another occasion for non-LGBTIQ people and organisations to show their support and solidarity with the queer community and carry the concerns of LGBTIQ people into society at large.

        As the EIB Group, we embody the European Union (EU) principles of equality, human dignity, non-discrimination, and respect for human rights, including LGBTIQ rights.

        EIB and Banca Etica provide over €165 million to support gender equality, refugee inclusion and development in southern Italy

        European Investment Bank (EIB) Vice-President Gelsomina Vigliotti and Banca Etica President Anna Fasano have signed a €60 million agreement with the main goals of promoting labour market integration and better services for refugees, making it easier for women-led companies to access finance and supporting projects in cohesion regions. The operation is expected to help stimulate €165 million of investment in the real economy, creating a lasting positive impact on society.

        Rudraneil Sengupta and Sreya Banerjee win One World Media Women’s Solutions Reporting Award, supported by the EIB

        Over 60 judges from 18 countries have made their selections across 15 categories of the One World Media Awards, including the Women’s Solutions Reporting Award, supported by the European Investment Bank (EIB). The judges, who number among the industry’s most distinguished journalists, filmmakers and media professionals, viewed more than 500 entries.
