Umweltaspekte
The installation of mobile telecommunication networks does not fall under Annexes I and II of the EU Directive 2011/92/EC, and is therefore not subject to a mandatory environmental impact assessment (EIA). Mobile telecommunications systems have limited environmental effects, apart from the visual impact of base station towers and electromagnetic fields (EMF) radiation. The research, development and innovation (RDI) activities are expected to be carried out in existing facilities that are already used for the same purposes and which are not expected to change their scope due to the project. An environmental impact assessment is therefore not needed as per EIA Directive 2011/92/EU.
Auftragsvergabe
The Promoter appears to be a private company not operating in the utilities sector and not having a status of a contracting entity. Should this be the case, the Promoter would not be subject to EU rules on public procurement.
