Objectives

Global loan to finance small and medium sized projects in the infrastructure sector, including environmental protection, energy, health and education as well as urban rehabilitation schemes.

To sustain small and medium-sized projects aimed at improving infrastructures in assisted areas or of EU  interest, investments related to international transport links, education, health, and housing; environmental protection and a rationale use of energy resources.

Complying with EU and national legislation on environmental protection and right of on-site inspection.

Projects presented under the loan comply with EU procurement procedures. For large investments the Bank recommends that international bidding procedures be followed whenever possible, even if EU directives do not apply.
