Objectives

The project concerns construction of a 26 km, 2x2-lane section of the central part of the East-West motorway, between Bouira and El Adjiba

The project forms part of a programme aimed at progressively building a motorway between the Tunisian and Moroccan borders in the north of Algeria, serving the coastal strip where 80% of the population lives.

Environmental impact assessments have been carried out for all project works in line with current Algerian legislation and EIB requirements.

International competitive bidding in accordance with the Bank’s rules.
