Description
Objectives

The project concerns acquisition of several aircraft to renew and expand the fleet. The aircraft will be operated mainly within Spain and between Spain and secondary airports in Europe.

The project will contribute to regional development and improvement of transport links within Spain and between Member States on low density regional routes.

Environmental aspects
Procurement

The new aircraft fulfill all current requirements with regard to noise and emission. The introduction of modern aircraft will reduce noise and gaseous emissions as well as specific fuel burn per passenger-kilometer. Due to its nature, size and location, the project is not expected to have a significant negative impact on the environment. In accordance with its normal procedure, the Bank will ensure that appropriate measures have been taken as regards environmental protection.

The order has been placed after evaluation of offers from all potential suppliers.
