Objectives

The proposed line of credit would assist the implementation of small and medium scale investments.

To support investments featuring a mutual interest for the EU and India, through a contribution towards economic development, including the creation of new employment opportunities.

To enhance co-operation between European and Indian companies and to support the implementation of projects involving high transfers of technology from Europe.

The financial intermediary will be requested to ensure that final beneficiaries comply with Indian legislation as well as EIB environmental requirements in general, as appropriate.

EIB procurement guidelines for global loans will be applied.
