Huisvuilcentrale Noord-Holland NV
Modernisation and extension of an existing incineration plant for non-hazardous municipal and commercial solid waste by implementing a new unit in replacement for two old units that will reach end of useful life.
Target is to improve waste management and rationalise use of energy (waste valorisation).
Satisfactory completion of the EIA procedure in accordance with EU legislation will be a loan condition, as well as confirmation from the competent authorities that the investment will not have a significant impact on any site of nature conservation importance.
The promoter is required to follow the procurement procedures under the EU Utilities Directive 2004/17/EC. He published a tender notice for the works and supplies in the Official Journal of the EU. The detailed procedures applied will be assessed during appraisal.
