Objectives

A dedicated EIB loan to finance projects promoted by SMEs & mid-caps in Kazakhstan.

A first part of the loan will finance SMEs, in line with Kazakhstan's government objectives to support the growth of the SME sector in the country, diversify the economy and lower its dependence on the oil and gas extraction sectors. A second part will focus on financing projects contributing to climate change mitigation and adaptation.
