Dedicated EIB facility to finance small and medium size eligible investments promoted by SMEs and / or Mid-caps. One or more tranches might be specifically allocated to SMEs and / or Midcaps belonging to the so called Reti d'Impresa (enterprise networks).
It is expected that more than 50% of the loan will be used to finance SMEs. From past experience, the main sectors targeted should be: (i) industry; (ii) trade, transport and tourism and (iii) construction. This loan aims at supporting growth and employment in Italy.
In accordance with the Bank's policy to ensure that sub-loans comply with the EU acquis, in particular in the fields of environment and public procurement, the Bank will require such intermediary institution to take all the requisite measures to ensure that the environment and procurement procedures carried out by the final beneficiaries for the sub-projects that the Bank finances will comply with the relevant EU legislation and the applicable national legislation.
Final beneficiaries will be requested to comply with applicable national and EU legislation, as appropriate.

Complaints mechanism

Zero tolerance against fraud and corruption
The EIB has a zero tolerance policy on fraud or corruption. To report allegations of fraud and corruption relating to EIB-financed projects, please contact the Fraud and Investigation division. All complaints will be treated as strictly confidential and handled in line with the EIB investigation procedures and the Anti-Fraud Policy.
