Summary sheet
Investments in R&D in relation to the application of the norm EURO 6.2 for the engines of the PSA Group.
The project concerns R&D investments leading to (i) improvement of emission characteristics and compliance with the Euro 6.2 emission requirements mainly concerning the tightening of the limits for particulate, new NOx limits and stricter implementation of on-board diagnostics systems and (ii) significant reduction of CO2 emissions and fuel consumption that will be implemented in parallel.
The activities will include improvements in powertrains, auxiliaries and energy management systems. The project activities will take place in France.
The project concerns investments in research and development that are expected to be carried out in existing facilities already authorised and would therefore not require an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) under the Directive 2011/92/EU. Any possible environmental issue will however be verified during the project appraisal
The promoter is a private company not operating in the Utilities sector and not having a status of contracting authority. Thus it is not covered by EU Directives on procurement.
