Objectives

The project consists of a global authorisation to provide SME loan guarantees to local banks and other financial intermediaries under the Economic Resilience Initiative (ERI) - Impact Finance window.

By enabling financial intermediaries to take on more risk and thus reach out to underserved and riskier segments of the economy, the operation will enable them to improve lending terms and conditions and thus providing wider access to finance for SMEs in the selected countries, in particular in Jordan and Lebanon.
