Description
An SME Loan to HVB Leasing for financing of small-scale investment projects implemented by small and medium-sized companies and funded on a basis of a leasing structure.
Objectives
The proposed loan for SMEs is dedicated to the financing of small-scale projects in the SME customer segment. Working in co-operation with HVB Leasing, the Bank financing will be reaching a large number of small investment projects that typically would not qualify for direct EIB funding. Also, through lease financing the EIB funding may be reaching those small companies that in the absence of credit history (start-ups and young companies as well as very small enterprises) have no access to bank credits. The sub-projects are expected to represent a mix of investments representing a large variety of business sectors.

Environmental aspects
In accordance with the Bank's policy to ensure that sub-loans comply with the Community acquis, in particular in the fields of environment and public procurement, the intermediary shall stipulate with the Final Beneficiary that sub-projects undertaken by the latter with the proceeds of EIB funds should comply with the relevant applicable EU and national legislation.
Procurement
