Description

The project consists of a loan to finance small and medium size investments promoted by SMEs (at least 70%) and mid-cap companies (up to 30%), mainly in Spain but also in other EU countries.

Objectives

The project will contribute to a better market coverage of SMEs and mid caps financial needs in Spain. The EIB involvement will generate positive effects, mainly in terms of availability of long duration funding but also in terms of overall financing costs, which would be particularly appreciated by small-sized promoters.

Environmental aspects

In accordance with the Bank's policy to ensure that the loans comply with the Community acquis, in particular in the fields of environment and public procurement, the intermediary shall stipulate with the Final Beneficiary that projects undertaken by the latter with the proceeds of EIB funds should comply with the relevant applicable EU and national legislation.
