Ukraine: Odesa Oblast improves emergency services with safety centre expansion, thanks to EU bank support
A second building has been added to the Citizen Safety Centre in Avangard, Odesa Oblast, increasing the emergency response capacity in a region regularly targeted by Russian shelling and located on key transport routes. The centre plays a vital role in firefighting, emergency response and public awareness – not only for Avangard, but for other nearby communities as well. Supported by the European Union and its financial arm, the European Investment Bank (EIB), this new building significantly increases the centre’s ability to respond to emergencies and support local residents.

Europejski Bank Inwestycyjny (EBI) przyznał blisko 2 mld zł (450 mln euro) spółce PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA (PLK SA) na modernizację 120 km jednego z najważniejszych połączeń kolejowych w południowej Polsce. Inwestycja wesprze niskoemisyjny transport oraz rozwój województwa świętokrzyskiego, przyczyniając się do osiągnięcia ważnych celów polityk klimatycznej i spójności Unii Europejskiej.

The EIB Group at IMF/World Bank Spring Meetings: stepping up partnerships for win-win outcomes and collective security
An EIB Group delegation led by President Nadia Calviño will participate in the 2025 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group taking place this week in Washington DC. Vice-Presidents Ambroise Fayolle and Thomas Östros will join the EIB Group President to meet key partners in international development and finance.
