The European Investment Bank (EIB) Group  provided €284 million of fresh financing in Slovenia last year, bolstering the energy transition, business innovation and capital markets in the country. The total for 2024 includes €154 million from the EIB and €130 million from the European Investment Fund (EIF), which targets micro companies and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe.

Among the challenges facing Slovenia, respondents ranked climate change fourth. Despite this, nearly nine out of ten them agree that investing now in climate adaptation is necessary to avoid higher costs in the long run, according to the annual Climate Survey commissioned by the European Investment Bank (EIB). 

Die Europäische Investitionsbank (EIB) vergibt einen Kredit von 50 Millionen Euro an den Stromversorger Elektro Ljubljana für den Ausbau und die Modernisierung des Verteilnetzes in Mittel- und Südostslowenien. EIB-Vizepräsident Kyriacos Kakouris und der Vorstandsvorsitzende von Elektro Ljubljana Urban Likozar haben heute in Anwesenheit der slowenischen Staatssekretärin im Ministerium für Umwelt, Klima und Energie Tina Seršen in der slowenischen Hauptstadt einen Darlehensvertrag unterzeichnet.
