The second European Enterprise Financing Conference was held on 22 April 2014 at the headquarters of the Rhône-Alpes Regional Council. Rhône-Alpes is France’s second biggest region in terms of GDP (9.6% of France’s GDP) and jobs.
Held jointly by the French Ministry for the Economy and Finance, the European Investment Bank Group, the Rhône-Alpes Region and the SME Finance association, the European Enterprise Financing Conference brought together for a day entrepreneurs, bankers, financiers and public policy makers from all over Europe.
The conference provided an opportunity to analyse and discuss the latest trends in the financing of enterprises, especially SMEs and midcaps. The morning session was devoted to examining the different levels of enterprise financing and particularly the financing of innovation.
The afternoon debates focused on innovations in enterprise financing and ended with the discussion of a concrete example in the European microelectronics sector.
