The EIB welcomed the 2012 Evaluation Cooperation Group (“ECG” is the association of evaluation departments of all main international financial institutions) Spring meeting in Luxembourg, from 28 to 30 March. It was the first time that the EIB was chairing the ECG.
The three-day session centred on best practice for evaluations and comparing methodologies. A public workshop on the topic of “support to SMEs” was held on 29 March, drawing on lessons learnt and experience by the various international financial institutions.
The IMF evaluation office also presented two reports, one on the recent financial crisis (on 28 March) and the other on the relevance of research activity at the IMF (on 29 March).
