The EIB Group and The Ministry of Economic Affairs were delighted to host an interactive seminar on their financial products for innovative and growth businesses in the Netherlands on Wednesday 8 October, from 13.30-17.30.

The seminar consisted of concise product presentations followed by a roundtable discussion with representatives from the local business community as well as feedback from beneficiaries. It was open to CEOs, CFOs and top management of innovative companies (from large SMEs to corporates) in the automotive, ICT, biotech and industrial sectors, as well as financial intermediaries, financial advisory organisations and industry associations.

Speakers included EIB Vice-President Pim van Ballekom and Mr. Henk Kamp, Minister of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands.

Both the EU and the EIB Group intend to more than double their combined support for research and innovation in Europe over the next 7 years, making more than EUR 24bn available. Meanwhile in the Netherlands, the Ministry of Economic Affairs is intensifying its Innovation Fund for SMEs and larger corporations. Together, the EIB Group and the Ministry of Economic Affairs are also strengthening their cooperation in order to support the Dutch economy, and this seminar highlights the financing opportunities and the extensive range of support available to businesses in the Netherlands.
