Private company
The project consists in a combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power station with an electric capacity of 400 MWe and heating capacity of 240 MWth.
The unit will provide electricity to the grid and heat to the neighbouring towns.
Due to its capacity (plant over 300 MWth), the project is subject to the Annex I of the EIA Directive (85/337/EC and amendments) and was required to undergo a full Environmental Impact Assessment. The EIA is completed and the environmental permit was granted by the competent authorities.
The main project contractor will be chosen based on Public Procurement Law through negotiations with publication. The procedure will comply with the EU Directive 2004/17/EC.
