Objectives

A line of credit providing long-term funds in KES, EUR and USD to selected intermediary banks in Kenya for the financing of investment projects undertaken by small and medium sized enterprises.

Improve access and terms of financing to facilitate private sector investment in projects that stimulate economic growth.

Environmental aspects
Procurement

Financial intermediaries will ensure that environmental impacts of projects to be financed by PEFF II Kenya will be identified and mitigated by the promoters in accordance with international and/or local standards, as applicable.

Intermediaries will ensure goods and works financed will be procured on a competitive basis, taking into account the nature and size of projects concerned.
