We helped municipalities become more modern and environmentally friendly. In Riga, our financing also supported new public transport.

Latvia and the EIB

We have worked in Latvia since 1994, modernising the country's infrastructure and supporting small businesses and higher education. We have supported energy efficiency projects and the upgrade of Rigas water and wastewater facilities. We have also helped bring sustainable growth to the tourism and agricultural sectors, and supported thousands of small and medium-sized enterprises, while simultaneously promoting the country's green transition. We helped municipalities become more modern and environmentally friendly. In Riga, our financing also supported new public transport.
