Description
Small- and medium-scale projects in the field of environmental protection, energy savings, infrastructure, industry, services or tourism in Bulgaria and to a small extent for municipal financing (aiming at including RBB in the upcoming Municipal Finance Facility).
Objectives
The Bank’s global loan would allow Raiffeisenbank to increase and diversify its long-term funding sources and to step up its longer-term financing of eligible projects promoted notably by SMEs or local municipalities.

Environmental aspects
Bulgaria is gradually introducing environmental legislation in view of harmonising its environmental standards with EU regulations. Within the framework of the global loan, the Borrower will be requested to ensure compliance of the sub-projects with EU directives, as appropriate.
