Description
This report covers EIB operations in sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific regions (ACP) as well as Overseas Territories, under the ACP Investment Facility (IF) and the EIB’s own resources. Also included are operations in South Africa, which are financed under the External Lending Mandate. The report provides a comprehensive and integrated perspective for the regions, and goes into detail about the expected impacts and benefits of several new projects.
The Bank invested EUR 1.2bn in the ACPs and South Africa in 2014, with further approvals a shade under EUR 1bn and EUR 620m disbursed. IF lending increased healthily from EUR 472m to EUR 660m, demonstrating the vital role private sector investment continues to play in the Bank’s ACP activities.
