The Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) brought together central bankers, ministers of finance and development, private sector executives, civil society, media and academics to discuss how to best respond to the multiple overlapping crises facing developing countries.
The EIB delegation, led by President Werner Hoyer and Vice-Presidents Ambroise Fayolle, Thomas Östros, Teresa Czerwińska, Ricardo Mourinho Félix and Gelsomina Vigliotti, met key actors in the global development and investment arena. Their discussions focused on fostering cooperation and contributing to the collective efforts in tackling global instability such as the climate emergency, Ukraine crisis, energy and food security across the globe.
At the Annual Meetings, the EIB alongside fellow multilateral development banks outlined their effective support of development and growth around the globe, aiming for more jobs and opportunities, a clean planet and a better quality of life for everyone.
