EIB Group donates €300 000 to NGOs helping communities affected by flooding in Spain
The EIB Institute, the philanthropic and social impact arm of the European Investment Bank Group (EIB Group), has announced a donation of €300 000 to support communities affected by the flash flooding that devastated parts of Spain on 30 October and in the first few days of November. The donation will be channelled through the NGOs Save the Children Spain, SOS Children’s Villages and Casa Caridad.

EIB and EDP sign €700 million in loans to rollout renewable energy projects and to finance power grid expansion in southern Europe
The European Investment Bank (EIB) and EDP SA signed two loans totalling €700 million to finance the rollout of EDP Renewables’ energy projects in Portugal, Spain and Italy and the expansion and modernization of EDP´s electricity distribution networks in Spain and Portugal. EDP Renewables is a subsidiary of EDP SA

Epsagne : la BEI octroiera un prêt de 80 millions d’euros à l’appui de l’agrandissement et de l’électrification du port de Bilbao
La Banque européenne d’investissement (BEI) a signé un prêt de 80 millions d’euros avec l’Autorité portuaire de Bilbao pour financer l’expansion et l’électrification du port. Le projet appuie le transport maritime comme solution pour remplacer d’autres moyens de transport à plus forte intensité de carbone. Avec ce financement, la BEI contribue également à rendre le transport maritime plus durable et plus efficace.
