Austrian respondents recognise the need to adapt their lifestyle due to the effects of climate change, according to the annual Climate Survey commissioned by the European Investment Bank (EIB). Among the challenges facing their country, Austrian respondents ranked climate change third, after the cost of living and large-scale migration. Many believe that investing in adaptation now will also prevent higher costs in the future.
Selon l’enquête annuelle sur le climat commandée par la Banque européenne d’investissement (BEI), la plupart des Belges reconnaissent la nécessité d’adapter leur mode de vie aux effets des changements climatiques. Les personnes interrogées classent les changements climatiques au deuxième rang des défis les plus importants auxquels leur pays est confronté, derrière l’augmentation du coût de la vie. Beaucoup sont convaincues qu’investir dans l’adaptation dès maintenant permettra d’éviter des coûts plus élevés à l’avenir.

Among the challenges facing their country, Bulgarian respondents ranked climate change fifth, after political instability, cost of living, unemployment and access to healthcare. Many believe that investing in adaptation now will prevent higher costs in the future.
